Hi my name is Julie Y. and I like to watch South Park Central. I am ten years old and in fifth grade at King Kaumuali'i school. I was born on September first. I have one brother who is thirteen years old and goes to Kapaa Middle school. I have a dad who does construction work and a mom who does house work. My favorite subjects in school are math, spelling, reading, and computer things. My favorite sport is just soccer. I like to drink Mountain Dew and 7 up. I have a very best friend named Mallorie H., she is a ThinkQuest teammate. My other ThinkQuest teammates are Logan, Kiah, Kelly, and Brandan. I have two coaches for ThinkQuest and their names are Lynne Sueoka and Leah Aiwohi, they are very good coaches. ThinkQuest is fun and very educating. My jobs to do on the ThinkQuest team is to do articles, legends, graphics, debugging, and quiz explanation. I had to get a lot of imformation for the articles and most of the time I had to use books to get some imformation. We also had to interveiw diffrent people to get our imformation. The articles have a lot of imformation in them. I did two legends about the Legend of the Ohia Lehua flower and a legend about a lady who heard Pahu drums at night. If I didn't know what the word means or how to spell it then I would look in a very large dictionary. Like the articles we had to do interveiws too. I also had to template the articles and legends to put it on our website. The graphics were kinda easy to do because finding the pictures was a little easy. One of the graphics that I did was a Lehua flower and I think that is the nicest one I did. I also did one with a pig in an imu or earth oven. The debugging was pretty easy because all I had to do was to correct all the spelling and the italics and all the other things that were misspelled or not italicized. The debugging was easy but it took very long to finish. The quiz explanations were pretty hard cause it's kinda hard for me to make an explanation of something. The explanation was only little writing that explained the legend or article. At first I thought this was going to be a cinch but know it is really hard work but it is really fun. The whole website helped me learn more about computers and how to use it really well. |
