Lynne,

This is a very qute little site with nice graphics. I can see the trail leader in there as Funky Rabit.

One thing strikes me immidately. Perhaps I am to much of an adult but being naturally qurious and not knowing the English words for the fruits I tried Liliko'i which I of course didnĄt know what it was. The text told me I had to ask the trail leader but I didn't immidiatly understand what that was. So I went back and tried something else getting a little bit impatient since I am naturally curious and didn't want to miss what kinds of fruit they were. Then I went back again and moved my mouse over the screen and notice a change in the mouse on the figure "of course - the trail leader" :-)

I can look at this from two sides. I can look at the graphical interphase as a quiz in itself and see the process involved in matsering that as problem solving.

But I think I'd rather go for a simple solution to learning here and put a picture of the trail leader (diminished) and maybe with a direct case sensitive link in the frame you get when you have answered incorrectly.

What a game I found it really interesting. The facts that you learn form the game are amazing. I did not know that much about all those legends and plants.

I did find one problem some of the answers to yo8ur question don't match up to the data. I also could not get past the KULA--The Lowlands screen.

But other then that the game is really great.

Hi everybody,

Wow, what a great site! Just realized how big it was and what a humongous task it was to code and organiza all of those files (a lot more files than Media UnPlugged).

I really like the design...it's classy, island-y, and consistent throughout the site. I also liked the way the color scheme changed as I went through the different sections of the ahupua'a. The layout of the frames worked perfetly. there's enough room for the questions and the resources...I didn't have to scroll sideways at all.

Oh, and BTW. Cory mentioned something about not being able to get past Kula. I guess you guys fixed it, cause I got all the way to the end. But I didn't get my certificate. ;)

The questions and resources were all really interesting too. I especially liked the fact that after I got a question right, the next screen kind of restated the answer for me instead of just saying "correct"

Also, I think the pictures and the quotes from the trail leaders added personality and humor to the site. For a while, I was sitting there going "wow, so Kiah's middle name is Kalo. How interesting" :)

I just have a couple nit-picky suggestions (those were always helpful for our team when we were refining the site). On the section where you have to chose what plant to use after you fight with the pig: After reading the resources, I was thinking that Kalo would be the best choice because it stops pain and bleeding (I think that's what it said). But kalo wasn't a choice...I would suggest making it a choice or changing the resources a bit.

There was another screen dealing with medicinal plants that was kind of confusing to me (it's probably just me you know). It was the one where you could chose between a taro leaf, bamboo, bannana, and stuff. Anyway, The resources suggested that the taro root would be the best cure, but the closest choice was the taro leaf. I don't know...it's just a really minor thing.

Finally, I was thinking tht maybe a little intro file that explains what an ahupua'a is and what the differences between each of the regions are would be helpful.

anyway, these are all just suggestions, you can ignore them all if you want.

Once a again, great job on the site. I think you guys stand a really good chance of winning. :-)!

Hello Lynne

I am deepley impressed! I tried your site, well done.

Alas... on a certain point, I kept coming back on the same page (with the text: Quiz Question #1

What happens when you pick the Lehua Blossom? ) I answerred the right answer, but I kept coming back on this page.

It is of course good for my score ;-))) but... I am anxious to find out what is coming next ;-)

But WOW !!!!! what a website! I will check it more later... keep going Lynne!

Bye for now,

Dear TQJR,

I liked your web-site because I learned a lot from it like which fruits are healthy and which fruits stain your clothes!

> You're getting colder the raindrops
Eh, something's missing inbetween "colder"/"the".

> Exellent!
Um, I do believe that's "Excellent".

Er...perfect spelling(and I don't mean as in magic spells!)but uh,"and was"doesn't quite make sense.It looks like it should be..."and were".

"Kanaloa-Huluhulu and"

> The giant was
> thrown off-ballanced
Is that "off-ballanced" or "off-balance"

> chopped of his head
Do you mean "chopped of his head" or "chopped off his head"?

> Kanaloa-Huluhulu, the giant is forever
> still wondering
"Forever still wondering" or "forever still wandering"?

That's all for now but I have other things to do now like massaging daddy!

Yes I did. I liked it. It was easy to understand the language. And the pages followed with no problems, so you don't have to know so much about computers to join. The subject it also very interesting wich of course is a plus. I don't intend to go and get lost in the Hawaiian environment just this week;) But maybe it would be good to know in the future since I am very interested in going to Hawaii.
