Welcome to the Computer Effects web page. This is a site devoted to teaching you about the computer graphics used today and in the past to enhance movies and television. By computer graphics we are referring to any use of computers, whether it be a large dinosaur rampaging across the screen, or a bluescreen composite of an actor, or a computer generated ship flying through the galaxy. We happen to be interested in all of it, and we assume that since you're here, you are too.

To choose an area of interest, just click on any of the icons on the filmstrip to the left, or read about them below. The icons will lead you to a page with a little more information about the topic, and since many of the categories are so broad, links to other pages with more specific information. There is a glossary with definitions of phrases and terms which may prove confusing to some, and we also have a multimedia gallery filled with movie clips and images from the movies and shows discussed in this site, along with links to other pages involved with our topics.
