The Oklahoma City Bombing

April 19,1995 at 9:02 A.M. a bomb destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City bombing scenes of fatality caused fear, anger, and sorrow across the nation. Fatalities numbered 169 victims; 19 of which were children.

This lead to an incredible search for the perpetrator(s) of this awful crime. As Americans we were astonished that something this horrible could happen on our own soil. We thought that this would never happen to us and that it only happens to far away countries.

Oklahoma City still shows the scars from the blast. The ground, where the Murrah building used to stand before it was destroyed by 4,800 pounds of ammonia nitrate and fuel housed in a Ryder van, has now been fully cleared.
