Okanogan Highlands

The Okanogan Highlands are loacated in the northern part of Eastern Washington State. It is bordered by; Canada in the north, Columbia Basin in the south, Cascade Mountains in the west, and Idaho in the east.
This region was formed by three main forces; uplifting caused by plate techtonics, glaciers from the last Ice Age, and erosion such as; wind, rain, rivers, and oceans.
Some natural features of this region are river valleys, lakes and mountians/ plateaus. The major rivers in the Okanogan Highland are the Columbia River, Okanogan River, Sanpoil River, Kettle River, Pend Orielle River, Spokane River. The major lake of this region is the Roosevelt Lake.
There are many wildlife in the Okanogan Highlands, such as; Elk, Fish, Deers, Bears, Wolves, Mountain Lions, and Eagles.
