For the more cultured among us, there is the steady pillar of Classical Music. From Bach to Beethoven, Mozart to Stravinsky, there is something about the melodies of these masters that has made them timeless. The test of several centuries has proven the staying power of these works, and hints at the many more centuries of enjoyment to come.

Though generally deemed to be the most conservative of all musical forms, a closer examination of its history reveals that there have been a great many revolts and rebellions with the Classical world, resulting in a wide and varied range within this style. It is generally conceeded by most experts on the subject that there have been five major schools within what is commonly classified as “Classical Music”: the Renaissance, the Baroque, the Classic Era, the Romantic Era, and the “Modern” Era. It is these five categories that we have covered here.
