Silverbacked jackals live in the bushlands of Africa. These relatives of the
dog have reddish brown fur with a silver band down their back that goes from
the crest of their head to the tip of their tail. Silverbacked jackals are
mainly scavengers but will occasionally pull down a rabbit or other small game.
