Chem101 is a site dedicated to Chemistry. Through out the creation of this site, we tried to follow two main principles. One, we tried to create a site that offered some educational purposes for visiting (ie educational value). >Yuk!< So we also tried to follow our second principle, keeping it FUN!
To accomplish these principles, we built a textbook (for educational value), chat rooms, newsgroups, listings of experiments, and other neat stuff (for fun). Sound good? Try us out! What do you have to lose?
Finally, (before you enter our site) we have created our site under three different graphical levels. First, we have High Graphics. It was created for those users that are running a computer that is top of the line (or close to it) and have a fast connection speed, because it contains imagemaps and many, many graphics. Second, we have Low Graphics. It was created for those users that enjoy seeing graphics, yet are not running a top of the line computer and/or have a slower connection speed. We have only included the "necessary" graphics on these low graphics pages. Finally, we have No Graphics. This level was created for those users that have graphics turned off and/or enjoy a faster internet experience due to less graphics.
