Nazi- German fascist political party, founded in 1919 and abolished in 1945: under Hitler it seized control of Germany in 1933, systematically eliminated opposition,and put into effect its program of nationalism, racism, rearmament, aggression, etc.
Gestapo- The secret police force of the German Nazi state, notorious for its terrorism, atrocities, etc.
Jews- Member of the tribe or kindom of Judah. A person or decendant, or regarded as descended, from the ancient Hebrews of Biblical times. A person whose religion is Judaism.
Gypsy- A member of a wandering Caucasian people with dark skin and black hair, found throughout the world and believed to have originated ijn India: they are known as musicians, fortunetellers, etc.
Poles- a native or inhabitant of Poland.
Jehovah's Witnesses- Members of a Christian Sect founded by Charles T. Russell and under teh leadership of of "Judge" Rutherford from 1916 to 1942.
Aryans- A member of the Indo-European-speaking people
Ghetto- The quarter of a city to which Jews were restricted for residence.
Barrack- A hut used for temperary shelter composed of dry branches and thatched with straw.
Holocaust- A complete or thorough sacrifice or destruction.
