Welcome to Investing in Your Future's Calculators! You now have chance to take the knowledge that you have gained on this web site and see how worthwhile investing can be!
For each of these four calculators (college, auto, home and retirement), you will be asked to enter in some information. Then you will create a mock "portfolio." You will be asked to diversify your portfolio between stocks, bonds, CDs, mutual funds and other investments (i.e. gold, silver, commodities, etc.). The percentage returns that appear as default are the historic returns (which we have thoroughly researched) for each of these investment vehicles over the past 15-20 years. You can always override these numbers, but there really isn't a need to do so.
Once you have entered your information and diversified your "portfolio," click on the Submit button for "what-if" analyses. Our calculators will provide you with some interesting information!
The college calculator will help you determine the best investment strategy to pay for college. Select the type of school (i.e. range of tuition) you plan to attend, the amount of money you think you can make per month, and some few other information tidbits, and we will give you an estimate of whether you can meet your goal.
Make an estimate as to how soon you can purchase an auto.
Can you buy a home? This, one of the strongest, most resilient components of the American Dream, is never beyond your reach. Make an estimate of the best investment strategy over the next 5, 10, or 15 years.
Plan your retirement and the latter half of your life. Input the appropriate parameters, and you will have an accurate estimate of when you can retire.
