Terminology

BIOS
CPU (Central Processing Unit)The CPU is a micro-chip that reacts to all of the commands that are in a program.
MemoryMemory, either RAM or ROM, is a storage place for information that is used when executing a program.
Operating SystemAn operating system is the main program that controls how your computer is operated.
RAM (Random Access Memory)Memory that can be either written to or read.
ROM (Read-Only Memory)Memory that only can be read. This type of memory is generally used in storing BIOS commands.
