Terminology

BIOS
CPU (Central Processing Unit)	The CPU is a micro-chip that reacts to all of the commands that are in a program.
Memory	Memory, either RAM or ROM, is a storage place for information that is used when executing a program.
Operating System	An operating system is the main program that controls how your computer is operated.
RAM (Random Access Memory)	Memory that can be either written to or read.
ROM (Read-Only Memory)	Memory that only can be read. This type of memory is generally used in storing BIOS commands.
