This site was made because. . .

This site was built as a contest entry for "ThinkQuest". ThinkQuest is a contest where students build educational sites for other students to use. It was put together by a team of three junior high/high school students over the summer of 1996. Hopefully, they will be able to keep the site once the contest is over and add to/update it every so often.

We would like to thank. . .

The pictures that go along with the site were taken at the following places and from the following people: Heritage House, Fullerton, CA, Long Beach Historical Society, and objects belonging to Shirley Smith. They were scanned with the use of a scanner and computer from St. John Bosco High School, Bellflower, CA.

The other schools that leant the use of their computers over the summer and which the students attend were Rishel Middle School, Denver, CO, Lanier Middle School, Houston, TX, and St. Joseph High School, Lakewood, CA.

To build the message boards, code from the website http://www.eff.org/~erict was used.
