Changes in Tactics Over Time

During World War I the entire battlefield strategies were less complicated and took place during a shorter time then more recent strategies. The main reason for this is that the aircraft during World War I had very small ranges and speeds compared to modern aircraft. Also during World War I there was no aircraft carriers that are necessary get aircraft to any point on the earth quickly.

Also during World War I military aviation was relatively new compared to today's military aviation because of this air power had not yet been proven as a very effective weapon it might not have been exploited to its full potential.
