Situated about twenty miles southwest of metropolitan Los Angeles, California, in affluent suburban Palos Verdes Peninsula, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School has been noted since its founding for its academic excellence, as well as for its achievements in athletics. Internet facilities are not accessible at Palos Verdes Peninsula High except in specialized programs such as PacRim and global studies*; thus, students use their home PCs to access the Internet and to develop associated programming skills.
