Steven Ngai
Interests, Hobbies, and Achievements
Interests and hobbies:
- Steven is the stereotypical 4.0-GPA Asian kid, who does just about everything academic: math (three years
accelerated, and he, along with three other kids, represented California in a national competition); science
(studying ahead for Chem2AP and Bio2AP, and looking forward to physics); computer programming (until
recently, he aspired to know every single programming language ever existent); digital editing (if you want
to see yourself with the person on whom you have a crush, send your scanned pictures right over!); Chinese
grammar and writing (well, he is Chinese...); English and history (though he isn't particularly fond of them, he
manages A's anyway); electronics (his favorite project was his 120-volt shocker); Latin (can compose
lengthy letters without a dictionary--and don't you dare throw up on the computer screen at that); and
Spanish from an appendix of his dictionary.
-
- He enjoys tennis (ground strokes great, but still can't serve) and swimming. Also is proficient in playing (and
composing for) the piano (Certificate of Merit Level 8 of 10). Don't even try to pronounce his last name, or
he'll come out of the monitor and personally squash you.
