What is Edustock?
Edustock is a web page designed to teach people of all ages about investing in the
stock market, and how to invest in the stock market. The Edustock Simulation is designed to teach people
how the stock market works and how much profit can really be made. Edustock is also an entry
in the 1996 ThinkQuest Competition.
Who made Edustock?
Edustock was created by three students at Winston Churchill High School, in Potomac, Maryland.
How do I use the Simulation?
To use the simulation, you must first create an account which is one of the options on
the Simulation page. Once created, you can read the help file which is also on the main Simulation page.
I forgot my password, can I get it back?
Yes, do not worry, simply email us, and we will email you back with your password as soon as possible.
I want to research a stock before I buy it. How do I do it?
If you want to research a stock before buying it, you have many options. The first is to
use our Company Profiles section, where you can choose from a group of selected companies and read about them.
The second way is the Research Center under the simulation. Here it is possible for you to look up ticker symbols by the company's name, and also look at detailed information of any stock on the market, just by typing in the symbol.
There are also many other places you can research stock, many are listed under the Links section under other.
I received an error that I don't understand. What can I do?
If you receive an error you do not understand, even after reading the error page, contact the creators, at
3088@advanced.org
Will this page work under lynx?
Yes and no. This page will work under lynx, except for the simulation. The simulation
requires tables to work correctly. While the page will show up, it is too difficult to understand and decipher. We recommend
either avoiding the simulation under lynx, or using a table capable browser.
How do I contact the creators to give them feedback or to ask a question?
You can easily contact the creators either through the feedback page, or by e-mailing 3088@advanced.org.
