Sierra Online was started in 1980, by Ken and Roberta Williams. Both of
the Williams' are programmers, and Roberta created their first game, titled
Mystery House. Their second game really launched their company, because it was one of the first adventure games with color, thus
selling over 60,000 copies. In 1983, Ken and Roberta had amassed over 10 million
dollars in sales, and 6 years later, they began selling stock.
