"The evolution of humanity is not a dream, it is a fact scientifically proved."
Bertha Von Suttner (1843-1914)
Nobel Peace Prize, 1905
The past is what we learn from; we should not dwell on it too long, but we should recognize those people and events that have made a difference. We should also look at our failures so that we may not repeat them and so that we can correct them. The past is what we build our current thoughts and ideas upon. It leads to the Present, which, in turn, leads to the Future-what we can do to make the world more peaceful. The Past section of our project deals with three main things: recognizing people who have made great efforts to support their ideals (Movers, Shakers, and Peacemakers), looking at the development of technology and how it relates to the communication of today, and essays on the past.
