Intentional randomness is totally different from Uniformed
Randomness. Intentional randomness occurs in nature in situations
when establishing a clear pattern will hurt rather than help an
organism. For instance, is you're being chased by a lion through the
jungle, it is considerably more advantageous for you to twist and turn
randomly rather than run in a straight line. The same holds true for
computerized enemies in computer games. If you're programming an
aviation game with a dog-fighting sequence, you're going to want the
computer to behave randomly and unexpectedly at times, in order to
prevent a human opponent from being able to recognize a pattern and
anticipate the computer's next move.
