What exactly is classical music! Stricely speaking, it's music of the period from around 1750 to 1800, typified by composers like Haydn and Mozart, who were innuenced by the ideals of classical Greek and Roman art. Fov most people, however,'classical' refers to all 'serious' music played by an orchestra or ensemble, and it covers most musical peviods: mediaeval, Renaissance, baroque, classical and romantic.
