The Sixth Sense
This startling, creepy thriller is about an eight-year-old
child (Cole Sear) who is troubled by his "sixth sense." Helpless
Cole is constantly being visited and haunted by ghosts. Cole, confused
about his supernatural power, is too terrified to tell anyone about
his secret, except Dr. Malcolm Crowe. Dr. Malcolm Crowe is a noted
and concerned child psychologist who wants to help
troubled Cole Sear. Cole's mother doesn't know what's wrong with
her son nor how to help him. As Crowe steps in to treat the child, he puts
his wife Anna second to his job. Even though
Dr. Malcolm Crowe doesn't want to lose her, he is obstinate on helping
the boy, determined to free his own feelings of failure with another patient
(Vincent Gray).
In the first half of the movie, don't expect much action.
Unnerving, creepy, and suspenseful, the movie builds to a surprising climax.
There are many slow, quiet, spine-chilling moments that will slowly raise
the hair on your arms. The Sixth Sense is definitely a great film
and perhaps the best film this summer. It unquestionably deserves
four stars. Just make sure you don't read any other reviews for the
The Sixth Sense before seeing this film. The less you know about
this exceptional
chiller, the more you will enjoy it.
