Dip-Net

The way the Indians used the dip-net was easy. What they did was they dipped the bottom part into the water and then just kept it their for awhile. Then later they would take it out to find fish in there. This is what was used for the dip net: side poles, u-shaped prongs, net frame hoop, netting, taut trigger string with vertical elements, and finger-loop signal string. Indians used the dip-nets from individually owned platforms hung along the top of a fishing weir.
