In spring 1997 Scottish scientists surprised public with the news of cloning for the first time a sheep's cell-nucleus of a body cell. This way they produced a mammal with identical genotype of another adult animal. The news of cloned sheep Dolly's Birth was astonishing all over the world.
A lot of people reacted with anger and fear at the development of a method to reproduce genetic identical copies of grown life. A method that may be used even on human beings.
This news initiated lots of fantasies. Horror visions of doubles or resurrection as clones appeared in public discussions.
