Mr. Kawada's Case

When Ms. Etsuko Kawada told Mr. Ryuhei Kawada, her son, only ten years old that he was infected with HIV, he said," If I get infected with AIDS, I'll kill myself." It is said that shesaid to herself, "I should have notifie4d later." Of couse she had anticipated such an occasion. Neverthless she did notified because she wanted him to be careful not to infect others.

He did only watch TV orplay TV game after school.
He seldom studied. He thought "I will die anyway" Butwhile he was playing the trumpet in blass band club at the junior high school, he could forget everything.
Meanwhile, medicines to lesson the HIV virus were invented one after another. But many of them involved terrible side effects; thus they were impractical.
He was advised to use the medicine named "interferon" at Tokyo University's medical laboratory, but it also involved so strong side effects such as diarrhea, that he had difficulties in using it.
