Famous Spots

The arrangement of the buildings is very unique, with the Kon-do and Kodo (Lecture Hall) located in the center, and the two three-storied pagodas, the east pagoda and west pagoda located on the sides. This arrangement of buildings is called Yakushi-ji style Garan (Buddhist temples) arrangement. These gorgeous temples were in several fires, and the buildings burned down one by one, leaving only the east pagoda in its original form. Though, all of the buildings such as the Kon-do were reconstructed.
