AVENA: OAT
It is a seed. Oats tea drink is an excellent medicine to cure stomach
ache. It has a diarrhoea affect. This tea can be drunkeveryday.
Dose: one cool water cup a day.
EUCALIPTUS:
It is a tree. Eucaliptus leaves can be prepared as a tea drink, to
cure respiratory infections . Eucaliptus leaves poultice is used to heal
reumathic aches.It is very useful to inhale the vapour water of this coction.
Dose: one cup a day.
COLA DE CABALLO: HORSE TAIL
It is a herb. It is prepared as a diuretic tea. It is used for kidney
infection and bladder infection. It is also used to clean wounds.
Dose: two or three cups of light tea a day.
TORONJIL:
It is a plant. It is prepared as a tea. It is used to cure gastric
infections nervous, eructations intestinal cramps, headaches, migraines,
colds, cough.
Dose: four or five cups a day.
MANZANILLA:
It is a herb. This herb is used to cure dyspepsias , stomach aches
and menstruation aches. The flower of this herb is used a tea drink.
Dose: four or five cups a day.
CEDRON:
It is tree. Its leaves are used to prepare a tea. this tea is drunk
to cure stomach aches specially those caused by nervous problems.
Dose: four or five cups a day
HINOJO:
It is a sweet-smelling plant to cure stomach gasses, abdominal colics
and it increase the milk quantity in nursing. It is used as a cool tea.
Dose: four or five cups a day.
LLANTEN:
It is a herb. Its leaves are prepared as an effective tea to cure
common sicknesses as stomach aches, throat infections, diarrhoea, phlegms.
Gargles with this tea may be done to cure mouth infections.
The cooked leaves and the liquid of this coction are used to disinfect
and to cicatrize wounds.
OREGANO:
It is a herb. It is an emollient and fortifying tonic. It used as a
tea to cure colds specially those in which the throat , chest
and bronchi are involved. It is an antiflatus. It stimulate the apetit.
It fortify the heart and nerves. It is a good medicine to cure reumathism,
anaemia, and uterus troubles. It is used successfully in the liver aches
treatment.
Dose: four or five of cool tea cups a day.
LAUREL:
It is a tree. Its leaves are used as a tea drink to cure amenorrea,
dyspepsias, reumathism and ulcers.
Dose: three cups a day.
MATICO:
It is a tree. This tea is used by coction in the treatment of haemorrhage.
This coction is also used to clean wounds and in the genitals cleaning.
Dose: three cups a day.
TRIACA:
It a tree. It grows in humid areas. Its green leaves are used
to prepare infusions for the diabetes treatment.
Dose: two or three cups a day.
BOLDO:
It is an originary chilean tree. It leaves are used to prepare a tea.
It is used in stomach aches and in hepatitis treatment.
Dose: three or four cups a day.
HELECHO MACHO: FERN
Its roots are used by coction to clean wounds or ulcers.
TOMILLO:
It is a smelling herb. Its stem and leaves are used to prepare
a tea to cure digestive problems such as colics and flatulences.
Dose: two or three cups a day.
BORRAJA:
It is a plant. Its leaves and flowers are used to prepare teas
to cure digestive affections.
Dose: two or three cups a day.
CULEN:
It is a wild plant . Its leaves are used by coction to
cure spasms, heart problems and digestive problems.
Dose: everyday according to the Machi's prescription.
POLEO:
It is a sweet-smelling herb. The whole herb is used to prepare
a tea drink to cure digestive affections and nervous problems.
RUDA:
It is a smelling plant. It leaves and flowers are used as a tea
. It is used in digestive troubles, blood problems and nervous problems.
It is not recommended for a pregnant woman.
Dose: one or three cups a day.
TUSILAGO O UÑA DE CABRA: GOAT NAIL
It is a wild plant. It grows in humid areas. It tender leaves and flowers
are used as a tea. It is used to cure colds and repiratory affections.
Dose: two or three cups a day.
PINO:
It is a tree. Its leaves and shoot are used to prepare a light tea
drink. It is used to cure kidney aches, bladder ache and throat aches.
Its bark, shoots and leaves are used to prepare hot bath to cure
reumathism.
Dose: two or three tea cups a day .
