| These pages are about the Solar System. Our Solar System is, as you probably know, part of a galaxy, the Milky Way System. A galaxy is a giant cluster of stars. The Milky Way System in turn is part of the Universe. The universe contains billions of galaxies and every galaxy is a cluster of billions of stars. Every star could be surrounded by planets, and other objects circling it, just like our sun is accompanied by its planets, planetoids and meteorites. |
