What is a galaxy? Well, it is a galaxy is a giant cluster of myriad’s of "solar" systems. Our galaxy, the Milky way galaxy, has the form of a flat disc that behaves like a whirlpool with spiraling arms that circle around a very crowded and bulky center. Other forms are met, like bulbous masses of stars. There are billions of galaxies in the universe. The distances between them are huge and the space in between is of an horrible emptiness, apart from some debris, gravel, super thin gasses and radiation.

This is a picture of the Milky Way galaxy.
