Evolutionists once claimed that within our bodies there are organs and other structures that once served a purpose to our ancestors that no longer serve any purpose. These organs, called vestigial organs, were believed to be "leftovers" from human evolution, and to not have any current uses. One hundred years ago a German scientist named Wiedersheim listed 180 supposed vestigial organs, including the tonsils, the appendix, the thymus gland, the pituitary gland, the pineal gland, and the coccyx. Now we know that all these organs on the list serve a purpose. We could not survive without the pineal, thymus, and pituitary glands. Even evolutionists have stopped considering the vestigial organs as evidence for evolution.
