Polystrate Fossils
by Jeremy E., Creation vs. Evolution II Team Member
Polystrate fossils are often misinterpreted by creationists as evidence of a worldwide flood. These (usually trees) are fossils sticking through several layers of sediment. However, creationists are ignoring the fact that a local flood would work just as well for completely burying these fossils. Sediment deposition rates are not always the same, as anyone who has ever seen the mud a flood leaves in its wake can tell you.
