Guidance of Bulgarian art gymnastics

The guidance of this sports is realized by the Bulgarian Federation of Art Gymnastics. Maria Gigova, a threefold world champion, is the president of the federation. Periodically, the federation organizes seminars with the coaches from the local clubs.

 Besides it elaborates the annual sports calendar and organizes the national and internation tournaments hosted by our country. It ensures highly-qualified referees and timely reacts to the requirements and changes accepted by the International Federation and its technical commissions. Every year more than 10 local and republican competitions are carried out in Bulgaria. They differ according to the reglament and gymnasts' age groups. Our national federation maintains regular contacts with the International Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, the International Olympic Committee, and the federations of the other countries. By this way the unity in the world of the rhythmic gymnastics is realized, training camps of foreign and Bulgarian gymnasts are ensured, and Bulgarian coaches are forwarded to other countries of the world.

Under the leadership of the Bulgarian Federation of Art Gymnastics the national team is regularly trained for participation in the international championships in Europe and in the world as well.
