Every
second year there are entrance examinations for the national team. Everybody
from the Bulgarian sports schools can take part in these examinations.
After overcoming this barrier the gymnasts continue their training in
the city of Sofia. They are trained and taught in the "Gerena" Sports
Complex. It should be mentioned that the loading is enormous and the
diets are very strictly limited. Only few gymnasts can then enter the
National team. Since 1973, Neshka Robeva, a former European vice-champion,
is the senior-coach of the Bulgarian national team of art gymnastics.
The sucessess of several generations of Bulgarian gymnasts are closely
related with her name.
