Gymnasts' selection and training
| In Bulgaria, this activity is concentrated in sporting clubs. Some clubs such as "Iliana" private club from the city of Sofia are independent. It has been established by Iliana Raeva, a former European champion (in 1980). Another part of the clubs are within the sports societies. | |

For instance, our "Gracia" club is a part of the "Spartacus" club established in 1964. Besides art gymnastics some other sports such as light athletics, football, boxing, wrestling, weight-lifting, shooting, chess, etc. are currently developed. The trainings are carried out in the "Spartacus" sporting complex. The sportsmen belonging to different age groups are trained in specialized halls and terrains. There are medical and fitness centres available, too. In the town of Varna, there are two other clubs of art gymnastics, i. e., "Char" club ("charme" translated in English) and "Nadezhda" club ("hope" translated in English) founded in 1992 and 1998, respectively. There are a total of 25 clubs of art gymnastics in Bulgaria. |
| The main centres are located in the city of Sofia and in the towns of Varna and Plovdiv. The leader clubs are the following: "Levski" (Sofia), "Iliana" (Sofia), "Academic" (Sofia), and "Spartacus" (Varna). The achievement of high performances in art gymnastics requires a systemic and long-lasting training. | |
