- We have the most excellent bells
in the world in my country. It is because that the bells of my country have
dim sound and beautiful molding shapes which are superior to Chinese, Japanese,
and Western bells.
- When Dr. Kenmel, who is a world-famous
German archaeologist in the museum community, saw the bell in the Kyong-ju
Museum in Korea (the holy bell of Sung duk the Great), he said with admiration,
"If we have this excellent bell in German, a good museum will be made
only with this bell."
- The fact that the bells like these
had been molded, demonstrates that ancient Korean had reached very high
level of skill of alloying bronze and skill of molding.
- The korean bells have so mysterious
acoustic tubes, which cannot be found of the bells of countries, and carved
beautiful patterns on the surfaces that those can be called the fruit of
all metal arts gathered together.
- Those have various patterns, rhythmical
shapes of Buddha, various qualities and splendid carvigns.
