Goanna (Monitor Lizard)

from Australia, monitors can be found in Africa, Asia, Indonesia,
and New Guinea. Different species can grow to different sizes
and weights. The short-tailed monitor is 20 cm. (8 in.) while
the komodo dragon can get to be 3 m. (10 ft.) and weigh 135 kg.

Monitors
have small scales, a slender head and neck, four legs, five toes
with claws on each foot, and most have long tails. Monitors eat
almost any kind of small animal they can get, usually rodents. |
