Australia Guestbook

Thank you for visiting our web site about Australia.

I really enjoyed this site becuase it had a lot of info on what I needed. I also liked the way it was set up, becuase some sites are just a huge mess. I will come here again!

I really enjoyed the sight! I have been searching the internet and my school library for a couple of weeks for information on Australia that I can use with my 2nd grade students. I can't wait to surf the sight again with my student so that they can actually hear the Australian words spoken by and Australian rather than my east coast accent!

Although this site is great and probably one of the best Australian sites i have seen there are a few mistakes. For instance, Waltzing Matilda was written by a man called Banjo Patterson NOT Andrew Patterson. And i think that the music section lacked alot. You did not mention any of our recent talent ie. Savage Garden, Killing Heidi, Madison Avenue, Vanessa Amorosi- the list goes on. Then there is the language section we do not called Australia Footbal "Aerial Ping Pong" we call it Footy or Aussie Rules!and some of the other words i have never heard of and i have lived in the great land of Oz for my whole life!!!!! To the person who created this site, Are you even Australian??? But this message just isnt to correct some of your mistakes it is also to congratulate you on this wonderful page. - Cara

I am homeschooling my 13 yr. old daughter & we are currently doing a study of the Aborigines, watching the Olympics, & a study of various countries' slang words/phrases, including Ausie's. I love Australia's wildlife, & the general ease of Native Australian people. It would be a dream to someday visit & experience your native wildlife acutally in the wild.

My class did a research on your country and nowhere could we find the name for an Australian Cowboy or the meaning of the word Australia(at least not in an easy to reach site). And it was not clear which one is your "true" national sport Different sites on the net gave different answers.

Thanks for a wonderful job about Australia! Next year in September I am leaving for Sydney to visit friends there. You have really made efforts to complete our knowledge about this wonderful country. One thing, though, I would like to know more about New South Wales and the surroundings of Sydney. That would be great! Anyway......thanks again for giving a Swedish girl a lot of knowledge about your beautiful country! Kindest regards from Eva.
