All about Origami
Traditional Origami (generation to generation)
So-called Play Origami was originally started in Muromachi- era (14th century to 15th century), and widely spread in Edo-era. The famous Origami cranes were created more than 200 years ago. It was the same model that we fold them now in Japan.
The model of crane has not changed at all.
Those Origami models that were passed generation to generation are called Traditional Origami.
For example, Cranes, Helmets, Servants, balloons, Ships and Boxes.
Children love to fold other anonymous models like Flippers(Menko), Pakkuncho(Pakupaku), and Camera that we donΥt know who created the models first.Origami tradition is not only in Japan. China and other European have the same. ( This section is by Mr. Koshiro Hatori.)
In Spain Pajaritato (bird) is famous.
