The three types of fields, electric, magnetic, and gravitational can exert forces on objects without physically touching the objects.Gravitational force exists between two bodies with mass. Electric force exists between two electric charges. Magnetic force exists between two magnets. The three types of forces are distinct and should not be confused. However, electric current can create a magnetic field.
