Meerkats

These creatures which are 30cm long, have pointed noses to smell and long tails to balance. Don't think that they are skinny, helpless and don't have any power over the desert, these creatures are in fact born to fight! They have sharp eyesight and also sharp teeth as well, which makes hunting easier. When one of the meerkats spots an enemy-- for example a snake--it will dance and jump around, alerting the others. As the other meerkats see this signal, they will quickly surround the snake, spit and bark at it to tire it. Soon, the snake will be exhausted, and slither away. Though these meerkats are brave hunters, they can't live all alone in the desert, teamwork is very important. Meerkats in the gang take turns to look out for danger. There are also 'babysitters' to take care of the babies when the others go hunting for food. Finally, when hunting is over, they will cuddle up together and play.
