Witchetty Grub

These fat grubs bore into the roots of trees. They can be found in the central deserts of Australia. Witchetty grubs are one of the traditional foods of the nomadic Aborigines of Australia. They are very nutritious with an oily, nutty flavour. They can be eaten raw (ew!) or cooked in hot ashes.
