A big SORRY to all amphibian-lovers, for there is one, and only ONE type of desert amphibian that we know of. It is the GREEN TOAD. Why are there so little amphibians in the desert? Well, it is probably because the early stages of amphibians - usually tadpoles - need to live in a stream, lake, or a place with lots of WATER. As you all know, there isn't a lot of water in the desert. If an amphibian dies in its early stage, then there won't be any adult. So naturally, there are little amphibians living in the desert.
