HERBIVORE: animal that eats plants

OMNIVORE: animal that eats plants and animals

INVERTEBRATE: lacking a spinal cord

THREATENED: any animal or plant that is likely to become endangered within the foreseeable future

RIPARIAN: located on the banks of a natural watercourse

VERTEBRATE: having a spinal cord

RARE: not frequently encountered, scarce, uncommon, unusual
