Roger Clemons of the Blue Jays has been traded for the Yankees David Wells. Roger Clemons finally got his wish to be traded. He was traded to the Yankees for David Wells. Wells who was third in the Cy Young award last season and had 18 wins and a perfect game was traded for Clemons who won his fifth Cy Young award last season and won 20 games with a 2.38 ERA. Also included in the trade were Graeme Lloyd and Homer Bush.

Late Breaking New
The Braves Andres Gallaraga has been found with a cancerous tumor on his lower back. He will not play the 1999 season, but he may not end his career he may be back in the 2000 season. If treated correctly he will be completely recovered. Galarraga, who signed a $24.75 million, three-year contract with the Braves before the 1998 season, hit .305 with 44 homers and 121 RBI last year. The 13-year veteran, who also has played with Montreal, St. Louis and Colorado, has a .290 career average with 332 homers and 1,172 RBI.
