The province of Bataan was established in 1754 by Governor General Manuel Arandia out of the towns of San Juan de Dinalupihan, Llana Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Balanga, Pilar, Orion, Marivelez, Bagac, and Morong.

Bataan lies in the southwestern part of Luzon. Wedged between Manila Bay in the east and south China Sea in the south and the west, it is just like a thumb out main land of Luzon.

Visit their historical spot like Democracy Marker. It is situated at the provincial boundary between Pampanga and Bataan in the fight of freedom in the preservation democracy.

Another is Death March Marker (Orani). The folk-arts statue commemorates the defiant spirit of Bataan, where Death March marchers passed on their way to the prison camp.

Third is the Fall of Bataan Marker (Balanga). This commemorate the Fall of Bataan, in memory of war veterans, living and dead. The marker symbolizes the courage and the enduring commitment of the Filipino soldier to his country.

Dambana ng Kagitingan (Shrine Of Valor ) is a national shrine at top of Mt. Samat Which immortalizes the agony and the Americans against the forces of aggression and articulates the commitment of Filipino people to freedom and human dignity.

Mt. Samat was the scene of the most heroic defensive battle during Word War II.

For the people who love nature, enjoy trekking, camping, repelling, and caving at Mt. Silangan at Morong, Bataan. An 80 ft. high waterfalls fed from numerous springs sweeping along Mount Silangan. And the foot of the waterfalls is a medium-sized waterpoll where visitors can bathe in its refreshingly cool but heavy downpour of mountain springs.

Another is Mt. Natib. Rising an elevation of 80,000 ft/ above sea level this potentially active volcano offers mountain climbers and nature lover not only a pleasantly cool mountain air but also a luxuriant growth including some rare plant species and wildlife abundant in area. It offers a commanding vista in the surrounding provinces. Reaching the mountain's summit takes about four hours.
