At the Wrestlemania show (see the Teamwork page), I did a full split. I put two chair next too each other, stood on them, and then pushed the two chairs apart with my legs. Some people ask me how can I do a split without being in pain? It takes lots of practice to do a full split. When I first studied the martial arts, I could not do this. It all started with just basic stretching exercises. One basic exercise is to just sit on the floor, extend your legs, and then touch your toes. Never try to stretch more than you are able. The more you practice, the more you will be able to do.
I do a lot of weight training. This can cause my muscles to be too tight and then
I can't properly do my martial arts. So I must balance my weight training with stretching so that I can keep my flexibility.
I need the flexibility to do the kicks and
punches for my martial arts. Stretching is important for any sport, so that you do not injure yourself.
