The centre will have one main centre court stadium, two show courts, seven match courts and six practice courts, all courts being surfaced by Rebound Ace cushioned acrylic. The centre stadium will be a circular, 10,000 seat stadium. The lightweight metal roof is an extremely efficient design, providing shade to seventy percent of the seats. There will be no need for separate lighting pylons due to the lights being integrated into the roof. The use of natural ventilation cools both players and spectators and the circular shape provides maximum view from all seats. The centre will also have all the access features of the other facilities (ramps, access toilets, wheelchair seating, etc) as well as physiotherapy and massage facilities, change rooms, meeting rooms, offices for tennis NSW, gymnasium, tennis shop and security system. Australia's great tennis history will be showcased by a tennis museum established by Tennis NSW. Olympic Tennis will be at the venue for 10 consecutive days, 19-26 of September, with night games on centre court, while Paralympic tennis is to be held from 20-28 October. In addition, 7,400 temporary seats will be added to the show and match courts. All buildings are fitted with energy efficient lighting and natural ventilation is utilised as well as well as contolled storm and rainwater run off. During the games, all visitors will be required to use public transport and there will be only about 50 parking spaces provided on the site, none of which will be available to the public.
