Hanukkah is an annual Jewish festival celebrated throughout eight consecutive days. It is celebrated on the 25^th day in the Jewish month of Kislev, which usually falls in December. Hanukkah honors the rededication of the Jewish faith to God after years of being oppressed by the king of Syria and dictator of Palestine.
