The Ming Dynasty (1368 AD ~ 1644 AD)

The Ming Dynasty defeated the Yuan Dynasty in a rebellion and pushed the latter to the North of the Great Wall. However, the power of the Yuan people, or the Mongolians did not perish. They still had the power to attack China again. In this situation, the repairation and construction of the Great Wall became especially important. The command of the construction of the Great Wall was given as "the repairation of the side of the wall".
Almost all emperors repaired and constructed the wall throughout the Ming Dynasty. The Great Wall today comes mainly from the Ming Dynasty as some walls of the past dynasties had collapsed.
As we mentioned earlier on in the part of the Qin Dynasty Great Wall, the wall was then build by connecting the walls constructed by the various states before the reign of Qin. In the Ming Dynasty, the emperors once again connected the wall together but this time was by connecting the walls built by the Northern Wei, Northern Qi and the Sui Dynasty.
