Even though this research focuses on the period spanning from 1943 to 1955, our study contains references to texts and authors from before those years that may however be essential for a full understanding of the “neo-realismo” movement. Beside this, in order to remain true to the original principles of our project, some authors and titles belonging to the years after 1955 have been excluded, even if they are to be considered significant for the comprehension of the “neo-realismo”.
