| PLOT, CRITIQUE and NOTES
The personal circumstances of the protagonists and the political and military struggle against the Nazi, are melt in the cold Milan of the 1944 winter: a member of the GAP (Bucci), in full sentimental crisis, fights valiantly against the men of Black Dog (Scarpa), the fascist leader that has exterminated his companions. Drawn by the homonym novel of Elio vittorini, adapted by the director, by the producer Giubani G. De Negri and by Forliero Rosati, it is a film uneven in its realization (penalized by a certain straits of budget) and in the acting, with a cast not perfectly adherent ot the parts. (P. Mereghetti Dizionario dei film 1998, translated by Alice Castoldi) |
